With CLAC it’s the opposite. Their ‘representatives’ have no connection to your workplace, making it impossible for them to understand the issues you face. They often side with the boss in order to avoid disputes. In the rare cases actions are taken, they rush the process and pressure members to make quick decisions.

CLAC alleges that their dues are cheaper than real unions in the province—but at what cost? Though you may pay a little less, you also get less advocacy, protection, and benefits.
